The purposes of our processing of personal data, the types/categories of information and the legal basis for the processing of your personal data


When you use our website


Purpose: To ensure that the website functions technically, for web statistics, user customization and marketing.

What types of personal data do we process: IP address, cookie ID, information about your browser and device, pages visited, actions on the page, time.

Legal basis:

Necessary processing to provide the service: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest).

Cookies for statistics/marketing: art. 6, subsection 1, letter a (consent).

Where your personal data comes from: The information is collected automatically when you visit our website via the Shopify platform and associated apps (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel), as well as through cookies.

Recipients: Shopify Inc., Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), as well as external IT partners if you have consented to marketing cookies.

Transfer to recipients in third countries:

Information may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, primarily the USA and Canada (Shopify, Google, Meta). This is done under the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses, which ensure an adequate level of protection. You can request a copy of these agreements by contacting us.

Storage: Web statistics data and cookie information are deleted on an ongoing basis – typically after up to 14 months. Cookies are automatically deleted after their expiration date (as indicated in the cookie banner).

If you apply for a job with us
Purpose: To be able to assess and process your application.

What types of personal information: Name, contact information, date of birth, education, application, CV, references and the information you provide yourself.

Legal basis:

To process your application: Art. 6(1)(b) (pre-employment measures).

Temporary storage after refusal: Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest).

Where does the information come from: Directly from you in connection with the application.

Recipients: Only relevant employees in Popcorn Media and possibly external HR/recruitment consultant (not currently applicable).

Transfer to third countries: No.

Storage: Job applications are deleted no later than 6 months after recruitment has been completed, unless you have consented to longer storage.

When you shop with us


Purpose: Processing your order, delivery, payment, customer service, complaints and fulfillment of accounting requirements.

What types of personal information: Name, address, email, possibly telephone, order details, delivery and payment information, purchase history and possibly customer service correspondence.

Legal basis:

To fulfill the agreement: Art. 6(1)(b) (performance of contract).

Storage due to accounting obligations: Art. 6, para. 1, letter c (legal obligation).

Where does the information come from: Directly from you in connection with a purchase.

Recipients: Shopify Inc. (webshop and payment solution), payment provider (Shopify Payments, Stripe, etc.), shipping company (e.g. PostNord, GLS - depending on carrier), accountant (for accounting), authorities if required by law.

Transfer to third countries: Shopify Inc. (Canada/USA), possibly payment provider in the USA. The transfer takes place on the basis of the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Storage: Information about orders and purchases is stored for up to 5 years, cf. the Danish Accounting Act.

Your rights


According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights in relation to our processing of information about you:

Right to access the information we process about you.

Right to have incorrect information about you corrected.

Right to erasure (in special cases).

Right to restriction of processing.

Right to object (e.g. against marketing).

Right to data portability.
